Artist Statement
‘Two Loves’ is an exploration of the dual landscapes of love we can inhabit. From the tangible warmth of the person we share our space and life with, to the vivid, sprawling worlds of the stories we lose ourselves in.
In this piece, the figures are grounded on a minimalist shore, yet they are enveloped by an expansive, ethereal gradient. This vastness represents the “romantasy” experience where boundless, fictional love can feel just as visceral as our reality. It is a celebration of the quiet empowerment found in those moments of wild, escapist devotion within the pages of a book.
