Wide open spaces, the land, the bush and wildlife call to me just as much as the ocean. My little family and friends love a fire. I sat with this piece until I could find the most sacred moment - the last person still waiting by the fire after everyone has tapped out for the night. As he watches and pokes the final coals I wonder, what is he thinking? Where the ocean calms, soothes and reminds you of your insignificance, fire seems to burn away everything that doesn’t matter and brings you back to yourself. You can understand and control it to a point, and somehow it gives you that in return.

Shipping and delivery
Framed delivery is included within Australia. Anywhere else in the world, your original ships rolled and fully insured, included in the price. If you’d like it framed overseas, I’ll quote the cost after purchase.
Import duties and taxes outside Australia are the buyer’s responsibility. Original paintings generally enter the US duty-free; the UK applies 5% import VAT on art; EU rates vary.
Estimated delivery from dispatch: Australia 4 to 11 business days, North America and Europe 5 to 28, everywhere else 5 to 30.
What arrives
The artwork. A signed certificate of authenticity. A handwritten note. And the Wave Ledger, a hand-made card on cotton rag carrying hand-painted colour strokes taken from the work itself, my signature, and a few lines about the piece written out by me. It’s not a receipt. It’s the part of the painting that stays with you when the painting is on the wall.
Open in this order: note, Wave Ledger, certificate, work.
Pricing, currency and returns
Prices are based in Australian dollars and include GST for Australian buyers. Other currency figures are approximate and checkout shows the exact amount in your currency.
Every original travels fully insured. If anything happens in transit, photograph the packaging and the work on arrival and email hannawavess@gmail.com within 48 hours of delivery — the insurance covers it, and I'll make it right.
As this is a unique, one-of-one work, change-of-mind returns aren't offered.
